瑪雅可夫斯基，以現代的角度來說，他就是一位文藝青年，為了熱情投身俄國革命，如他的詩：

 

Your thoughts,
dreaming on a softened brain,
like an over-fed lackey on a greasy settee,
with my heart's bloody tatters I'll mock again;
impudent and caustic, I'll jeer to superfluity.
Of Grandfatherly gentleness I'm devoid,
there's not a single grey hair in my soul!
Thundering the world with the might of my voice,
I go by – handsome,
twenty-two-year-old.

俄國革命時，他人在聖彼得堡，目睹了俄國革命，心中情緒激盪，寫下了"Left March! For the Red Marines: 1918" (Левый марш (Матросам), 1918)"

 

革命成功後，他加入ROSTA從事宣傳工作，因他本人對列寧極度的崇拜，列寧與俄國革命在其宣傳下，在當時逐漸神化。當列寧去世，十他甚至寫下了著名的列寧頌：

Lenin lived, Lenin lives, Lenin will live!

 

日後葉賽寧對其評價到：「瑪雅可夫斯基是為了"甚麼"而寫詩」瑪雅可夫斯基為了目的而進行宣傳，也跟現在文青是一模一樣的，但隨著共產俄國走下去，一些共產社會的弊病就出來了，瑪雅可夫斯基與史達林不和，最後在 1930年瑪雅可夫斯基自殺了 ~ 或說被加工自殺~
